Round Table Conference „Sustainable Use of Natural Resources in light of the Strategy for the Danube River Basin”

The Round Table Conference „Sustainable Use of Natural Resources in light of the Strategy for the Danube River Basin” – Projects for international cooperation will be held in Belgrade on May 10. and 11. 2013.

Participation is free of charge, but due to the limited capacity of the conference rooms and the ship, it is required to register by e-mail as soon as possible. On May 10th, the first session of the Conference will be held from 4 to 6 PM, at the Town Municipality Zvezdara, Bulevar kralja Aleksandra 77.

The speakers will be:

  • President of Town Municipality Zvezdara, Edip Šerifov, as the Conference host
  • Dragana Milovanović from the Water Directorate of the Ministry of Agriculture, Trade, Forestry and Water Management
  • Olivera Grujić Nikolić, Head of the Department of public utilities, environmental protection and coordination of investment projects in municipality Zvezdara
  • Prof. dr Edita Stojić Karanović, President of ISF “DRC”

The presentations are followed by a question and answer session and exchange of opinions between the speaker, representatives of CSOs, and interested citizens.

The second day, Saturday, May 11th, is dedicated to international cooperative projects. Serbian and foreign speakers will present their projects from 10 to 12 AM at the floating hotel “San Art”, located on the right bank of Danube, near the confluence of Sava into Danube (Ušće). The presentations are followed by discussion about the projects and ideas for their implementation.

The Conference will end with a sailing excursion on Sava and Danube, on-board the ship of the Yachting Club “Kej“.
